The Amazon Prime series “Good Omens”, an adaptation of the novel Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter Witch, won its first poster to promote the production of a second season, also confirming a total of six episodes.
The show features the leading role of the angel, Aziraphale, and the devil Crowley, played by Michael Sheen and David Tennant, respectively. They’ve both lived on earth for years, getting used to the daily lives of humans. However, with the threat of an antichrist, wanting to finish the human race, they band together and try preventing this catastrophic event. The sequel, which will begin its production by the end of this year, brings a new challenge, this time, linked straight to the future of humanity.
One of the writers of the book, Neil Gaiman, who is involved in the series production , showed confidence for the writer’s work and reflected on the novel’s development during an interview with Deadline: “It’s been 31 years since Good Omens was published, which means it’s been 32 years since Terry Pratchett and I lay on our respective beds in a Seattle hotel room at the World Fantasy Convention and planned the sequel. Terry is no longer here, but when he was, we talked about what we wanted to do and where the story would go.”
