Neo cannot remember his past

The Matrix Resurrections trailer was released today (9). The fourth film from the franchise, written and directed by Lana Wachowski, features Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss as Neo and Trinity once again. In fact, the trailer left questions about the identity of their characters.

The first moment of the teaser shows a conversation between Neo and a therapist (played by Neil Patrick Harris), where Neo reveals that he is dreaming about simulations. We can notice that he does not seem to remember his past.

Fans of the franchise will experience the nostalgic feeling as they encounter iconic blue and red pills, as well as terrific action scenes. Also, there is more than just one reference regarding the white rabbit, which was the reason Neo met Trinity in the first movie of the franchise.

The film is scheduled to open in theaters on December 22nd
