Shang Chi, Marvel’s latest blockbuster, has recently proven that cinema is coming back with a bang! Its performance at the box office has given a positive indicator to the big companies in the film industry.
‘Venom: Let There Be Carnage’ surpassed 100M at the box office in just 5 days, joining Marvel’s success in the revival of world cinema. In addition, by reaching this mark, Sony has achieved a higher profit than the first Venom movie.

One of the factors that may have fostered the success of the symbiote villain, played by Tom Hardy, may have been the speculation surrounding the long-awaited Spider-man No Way Home. Tom Holland’s third Spider-Man movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), has become one of the most commented topics in the media because of alleged leaks that have raised the expectations of the hero’s fans.
Also, it is worthy to mention that Marvel is using the hero’s royalties through an agreement with Sony, the company that owns all Spider-Man rights and is behind the Venom sequel.
Despite the achievement that the Sony-produced Venom sequel has presented so far, critics question the quality of director Andy Serkis’ work. We will release our review soon, in the meantime you can check out the latest trailer for the film below:
