Grammy Awards Special: Special

In case nobody told you today, you are special! Each day we are closer to the Grammys, and today it’s about damn time to learn more about the beautiful Grrrl Lizzo. She has been nominated for 6 awards and is one of the biggest artists of 2022.


Lizzo released her fourth studio album on July 15th,2022. Its first single “About Damn Time” was announced on The Late Night With James Corden on March 21st and released on April 14. With 12 tracks, the album was very well talked especially on social media, Lizzo was the most viewed singer on Tiktok. “2 Be Loved(Am I Ready)” was released as the second single, and “Special”, the title track, is the third single of the album. Lizzo also won two Emmys for her reality show “Lizzo’s Watch Out For The Big Grrrls” and one VMA for the music video of the first single. But all of this was not enough for Lizzo, she also released a documentary for HBO MAX called “Love, Lizzo” and a  concert on her tour for the streaming platform with special guests Card B and SZA. 


One of the most important artists of the decade! Lizzo is breaking barriers, she is using her influence not only to promote her songs but to give a voice to lots of people, she once said that “Plus-size Black women still don’t get the treatment they deserve”. She is an activist and is fighting for the rights of many communities as women, black people, plus size, and an LGBTQA+ ally.


Lizzo won an award at the 2020 Grammy ceremony for “Best Urban Contemporary Album” for her album “Cuz I Love You”. This year she is nominated for: Album of The Year, Record of The Year, Song of The Year, Best Pop Vocal Album, Best Pop Solo Performance, and Best Remixed Recording. It is a great year and album for Lizzo, and we are sure hoping for the best!
